Graduate Studies

The Washington Executive Leadership Academy (WELA) is a valuable supplement to graduate studies. Candidates for this program may already hold doctorates or masters in educational leadership, but find themselves needing assistance in the pragmatic aspects of obtaining and succeeding in a high-level position where they can put their formal learning into practice. Other administrators may wonder whether they are ready or truly desirous of moving to a higher level position and wish to do serious exploration before committing to an advanced degree.

Individual administrators already working on degrees may find that their graduate institution will allow credit for portions of the Academy's work. The Academy will gladly assist in that evaluation process.

Our goal is to build a cadre of attractive candidates who, in addition to their experience and formal education, have the job search skills and system recognition necessary to make successful transitions into VP, Dean and presidential positions in our community and technical college system.
