Application Process

If you are interested in applying for the Washington State Leadership Academy (WELA), we suggest you begin by talking with the top administrators and human resource director/VP at your college. Ask these people about their perception of your readiness and ability to garner institutional support. If the answers are encouraging, talk with your president.

You may also wish to talk with some of WELA's current or past participants, who are listed under "WELA participants".

2009-2010 Program Application Deadlines

For the 2009- 2010 program, all application materials must be received by April 20, 2009. Materials may be submitted in print or electronic form. A signed copy of the president's letter should follow electronic submission. All applicants will be notified by the end of May.
