Carla Idohl- Corwin

Carla Idohl-
Corwin Carla Idohl-Corwin is currently Dean of Student Financial Services for South Puget Sound Community College, where she rose through the ranks of the Financial Services office to become its leader in 1995. To that experience she adds private and nonprofit sector organizational experience. She is a community college graduate, and holds a BA in Management and a MA in Organizational Leadership, the latter two degrees completed while working full-time at the college. She intends to complete a doctoral degree in community college leadership and seeks a position as Vice-President of Student Services.

Marion Davis

Marion Davis Marion Davis has been Director of Financial Services at Highline Community College since 2000. Her rich background of service in K-12 school districts, private sector businesses, her own accounting firm, and working in Japan as a business trainer and manager of a technical recruiting agency has provided her with a variety of financial responsibilities as well as experiences in facilities and equipment management, quality assurance, training and cross-cultural communication. Marion holds the Canadian equivalent of a BA in Accounting along with a CPA and seeks a Vice-President of Administration position.

Gina Huston

Gina Huston Gina Huston is Dean of Student Development at Olympic College, which she joined in 2000. She brings multi-state and both community college and university experience from student services positions at Highline Community College and the University of Oregon, where she has served in faculty, counselor and management roles. Gina completed her EdD in Community College Leadership and holds a MS in Industrial Relations (Psychology/Sociology/Counseling) together with a B.S. in Psychology. Gina's goal is to be a Vice- President of Student Services.

David Klaffke

David Klaffke David Klaffke is Vice-President of Student Services at Bellingham Technical College. David brings valuable multi-state experience to his position with baccalaureate institutions in Oklahoma, Idaho and California, community college experience from Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, and private sector management. He holds a MA in Social Science/Student Development and a BA in Literature. His goal is to broaden his knowledge of system processes and other colleges and to clarify his career options in higher education.

Darrell Mihara

Darrell Mihara Darrell Mihara is Dean of the Child & Family, Culinary Arts, Health/Medical and Physical Education Division at North Seattle Community College. His goal is a position at the Vice- Presidential level in Workforce or Instruction. Darrell began his career in the private sector hotel/restaurant business, gaining valuable operations and supervisory experience at multistate locations for Western International Hotels and Shari's Restaurants. He joined North Seattle CC in 1989, where he has assumed increasing levels of responsibility in managing instructional programs. He holds a M.Ed. in Adult Education and a BA in Business Administration.

Steve Miller

Steve Miller Steve Miller joined Centralia College in 1999, where he serves as Dean of Instruction, Workforce & Professional/Technical Education. He has learned about multiple aspects of the community college mission through work directing Continuing Education, a branch campus and professional/ technical programs. His background includes multi-state community college experience from Washington and Iowa, private sector employee training experience, and high school teaching and coaching. Steve is interested in a Vice-President of Workforce position or a Presidency.

Peggy Moe

Peggy Moe Peggy Moe is a Dean at Renton Technical College, where she supervises the Business Technology, Education and Human Services, and General Education programs. Peggy gathered valuable grant and program development experience at North Seattle and program development and institution building experience at Cascadia, along with teaching experience from Seattle Central and Spokane Falls. Her career includes five years managing her own consulting business along with work in the private sector and in K-12 education. Peggy holds a MBA and a BA, along with a Certificate in Community College Education. She seeks a position as Vice-President of Workforce in a community college or Vice- President of Instruction at a Technical College.

Shirley Sutton

Shirley Sutton Shirley Sutton is Director of the Equity and Diversity Center at Edmonds Community College. Shirley brings a rich background of experience to her position, including personnel and labor relations management in the private sector, student services and targeted population program management in the public school sector, teaching at the graduate level, and ABE/ESL program management for Yakima Valley Community College. Shirley holds a M.Ed. in Community and Human Resource Development, BA of Law and Justice, and is a community college graduate. She is interested in a Dean of Student Services position on her way to a Vice-Presidency.

Yvonne Terrell- Powell

Yvonne Terrell-
Powell Yvonne Terrell-Powell is Director of the Multicultural/Diversity Education Center and Student Development at Shoreline Community College. Since 1999 she has also maintained a diversity consulting business working with a variety of agencies. She brings a strong teaching background to her work, with courses at multiple colleges (Shoreline, UW Bothell, Antioch) and workshops for a variety of public and private sector organizations. Yvonne holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology, a MA in Psychology and a MEd in Psychological Counseling, along with a BA in Education. She is interested in a Vice- President of Student Services or Student Services/Academic Affairs position.

Denise Yochum

Denise Yochum Denise Yochum is Vice President for Instruction at Grays Harbor College, which she joined in 2001. Denise has acquired valuable administrative breadth through her service at Big Bend Community College, where she managed multiple units including Academic Transfer programs, Adult Basic Education, Office Information Technology, Distance Learning, and the Continuing Education/Contract/Evening division and at baccalaureate institutions in Florida, Idaho and Oregon, where she gained instructional management and teaching experience. Denise anticipates completing her PhD in December of this year, and holds both a MA and a BA in Speech Communication. She seeks a presidency.
